ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA

Our Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution is chartered in Arlington County, VA. Most, but not all, of our 103 members live in the area.
Meetings are usually held at 7:30 PM on the second Wednesday of the month from September through May. (Refreshments are served at 7 PM.) However, our January and February meetings are the second Saturday at 10:00 AM and we have a field trip on the second Saturday of June. The meetings are held in a community center or church in Arlington County.
Our Organizing Regent, Mrs. Anne Holle (1907-2002), chose the name for our Chapter to reflect the heritage of the house in Arlington National Cemetery. Arlington House was built between 1802 and 1814 by George Washington Parke Custis, the grandson of Martha Washington and the adopted son of George Washington. The estate, now owned by the U.S. government and managed by the National Park Service, continues to symbolize the unique style of our DAR Chapter in which the traditions of family, education, honor to God and country are the foundations of American beliefs that we all hold sacred. For more about this historic estate, click here.
We invite you to come in and view the activities of our members, read the names of our Patriots, and see what we've done recently.
